Tourism investment is key to economic development and growth in southwest Illinois. And the region is full of tourism drivers that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the U.S. including the nation's three great rivers -- the Mississippi, Illinois and Missouri -- and two national Byways -- Illinois Route 66 and The Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway. All are key for destination development.
