Join Troy and Lisa from American Hauntings at the haunted Mineral Springs Hotel for another night of our “An Evening with…” series of events — with a special added bonus screening of the new film, LEMP’S LAST WRIGHT.

The night will include a catered dinner and it will be served at the hotel, just as they did back in 1914 when the hotel opened. After dinner, author Troy Taylor will be presenting “An Evening with the Lemp Family,” the true story of the history and hauntings of the Lemp brewing family of St. Louis! Troy’s presentation will be followed by an exclusive screening of the film, followed by questions and answers with the filmmakers! Attendees will also receive a special “true crime” packet from Shift Films!

The story of the Lemp family has become the stuff of legend, but it’s one that few people truly know. The Lemp family, and their infamous mansion, have inspired books, ghost stories, and television shows, but the true story of their lives has become a confusing and convoluted mixture of myths, misconceptions, folklore, and outright lies. It’s become nearly impossible to separate fact from fiction about this haunted family – until now. Join Troy’s in-depth look at the family, followed by the film!

During the first part of this event, author Troy Taylor takes you back in time to the opulent days of Gilded Age St. Louis and reveals the story of the Lemp family and its rise to power, wealth and decadence. For the first time, the story of the rise and fall of the family can really be told. Interwoven with history, private stories, details, and rare photographs, this is a special presentation that has never been revealed before. The Lemp story is one of true American tragedy – one of triumph over the opposition, hard work, perseverance, genius and madness, eccentricity, passion, horror, death, suicide, and ghosts.

It’s a story that is played out against the changing America of the late 1800s and early 1900s, enhanced by the history of beer brewing in St. Louis, the German immigrant experience in America, and by the lives and deaths of those for whom money was truly no object. It is a tale that is truly American – of a haunted family and their haunted house – told as only Troy Taylor can present it!

We’ll take an in-depth look at:
* The rise of the Lemp brewing empire
* The deaths, tragedies, and suicides in the family
* The the truth behind mysterious characters in the Lemp saga, from the “Lavender Lady” to the “Monkey Boy”
* The unsolved death of Elsa Lemp
* Lemp hauntings and seances
* First-hand accounts of Lemp Mansion hauntings

For a century the debate about the untimely death of Elsa Lemp has baffled historians and writers. On October 23, 2020, 100 years after her death, be the first to discover what really happened on that fateful day. In this feature-length documentary decide for yourself —- was it suicide or Murder?
