The Summer Solstice Sunrise observance will be held on Sunday, June 21 at 5:20 am. Meet at the Woodhenge reconstruction site, west of Monks Mound, for an information talk regarding the discovery, function, and significance of this pre-Columbian calendar. Out of respect for Native beliefs, no ceremonies will take place during this event.

Admission and parking are free, with no RSVP needed. Please be aware that the center pole of the Woodhenge reconstruction is on uneven/unpaved grassy terrain and may not be fully accessible to some.
