Get ready for a series of high-speed races in the heart of downtown Edwardsville. Enjoy fast-paced fun at the 12th annual Busey Bank Rotary Criterium Festival on Saturday, August 20th, from 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Hundreds of cyclists from over 10 states will compete for $10,000, one of the largest one-day payouts in the region! The festival is a series of high-speed bicycle races complimented with free kid’s races, a Kids Zone, an Entertainment Zone, and a running event for all skill levels.

Come to Entertainment Zone in the center of racing! Enjoy 3 food trucks, drinks and live music while watching the cyclists. Adult beverages will be available within the open container perimeter around the course.
Feel bicycle racers zoom by on the narrow course featuring several twists and turns to complete a 0.7-mile lap many times over a span of time. Racers of varying skill levels will begin and end at the start/finish line located on Main Street. Click here for more information on the day's events.

Ditch the wheels, take to the streets, and run for a great cause! The Downtown Dash, is a 1.4-mile run to the finish! This foot race or walk is open to a wide range of ages and running skill levels. See more info on the Downtown Dash here!

Bring the kids to the festival for tons of family fun! Sign up for the very popular four free races for kids age 11 and under that take place at 5:30 pm. Kids can enjoy a free bicycle-themed “make it and take it” workshop! There will be other games and activities. Free ice cream and root beer while supplies last. The Edwardsville Township is providing free bicycle helmet fittings for children ages 2 to 18. On-site staff will teach parents how to correctly fit their children’s helmets. This race is sanctioned by USA Cycling Association. The event will be held rain or shine and helmets must be worn while on the bike. This unique signature event has been hosted by the Rotary Club of Edwardsville as a fundraiser for their service projects, grants, and scholarships. Come out and have fun while supporting a great cause!
