Two Themes for 2024 Competition:
Native Species: Designed to honor our village’s ongoing efforts to re-establish native species all along the wetlands and creek ways in Elsah; this effort has spread even into yards and public spaces and has several stellar periods of bloom! We’re stabilizing our creek banks, improving habitat, cleaning our creek, and beautifying our Village!
Historical Abstraction: Designed to encourage the use of our historical surrounds to find and create breathtaking, uncommon compositions of the historical built environment. Close- up details, unusual lighting, shadows and out-of-the-way views are the ticket!

Selected artist notified by 02.03.24 A list of the photographers selected for the exhibit will be posted on the Historic Elsah Foundation and Escape to Elsah websites, and also notified by e-mail on 02.03.24.

The exhibition reception and presentation of awards will be held in the Elsah Village Museum. All participants, their families and friends are invited. In the event the circumstance require an adjustment to these plans we will post an update on EscapetoElsah.com and HistoricElsah.org, as well as reach out to the exhibiting photographers with updated information by email.

S U B M I S S I O N S
For the jury process only high-quality, digital images of photography (no film)- up to 7MB each – 4 x 6 inches are accepted.
All works must be original and completed within the last two years. Works previously exhibited in the Elsah Photo Exhibit are not eligible. Upon being accepted, all photographs must be framed and ready to hang with a wire. Framed works cannot exceed 16” x 20”.
