A history-oriented summer camp for youth, ages 9-12, is being offered by the Madison County Historical Society in partnership with the Madison County Regional Office of Education #41. The camp will be held July 17 – 20, 2023 from 9 AM – 3 PM daily.

Campers begin each day at the Center for Educational Opportunities in Troy, Illinois, before heading out for a daily field trip exploring one of the subjects included in the 2023 itinerary. This year’s theme, “From Farm to Factory,” will explore a Centennial farm, the coal mining industry, the Mississippi River, and the N. O. Nelson Manufacturing Company. School buses with experienced drivers will transport campers to their daily destinations.
