Instructor Miss Ruthie will teach students how to hand-build a ceramic platter and explore applying different textures and designs using slip in this clay class! Students will learn simple hand-building techniques, how to use a variety of clay tools, how to apply slip to create a textured surface, and gain an understanding of clay and its properties. Each student will make one ceramic platter in class and will glaze that night for a once-fire. Students are encouraged to bring snacks and drinks to the class and relax while making art!
