Overview
Groups can schedule guided tours of the Madison County Museum, school, church and grounds. The museum is housed in the Anderson Mansion. Built in 1883, and enlarged in 1892, the mansion features a unique mix of Italianate, Queen Anne and Stick architectures and is on the National Register of Historic Places. Annual festivals in May and September feature tours of the museum and other authentic buildings on the grounds such as a schoolhouse, blacksmith shop and print shop as well as a herb garden.The festivals also include arts, crafts, entertainment, antique farm equipment and home cooked foods.
