TAKE A TRIP ALONG THE GREAT RIVER ROAD

On one side is the powerful and ever-changing Mississippi River, a reminder of the region’s history as a riverboat hub. On the other are the limestone bluffs draped with a curtain of trees. Of course, that section of the road is just part of the journey through the region, with the road extending up through Calhoun County to Minnesota and down past Collinsville as it stretches to the Gulf of Mexico.
