Santa's Chocolate Express Roars In To Grafton

Who doesn't like Santa Claus and chocolate? The two come together on Saturday, Dec. 7 in downtown Grafton for Santa's Chocolate Express.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., express riders can collect sweets, of the chocolate variety, of course, take a horse drawn trolley ride, meet Old St. Nick himself, and enjoy holiday carolers throughout the day long event.

"Santa's Chocolate Express captures the full spirit of the holidays throughout the town," Grafton Chamber President Janey Brummett notes. "This is a great way to celebrate in style for children and adults alike, including the collection of irresistible chocolates, as everyone makes their way through town."

New to this year's event is the opportunity to enjoy a horse drawn trolley ride through the city's streets. Pere Marquette Stables will provide the rides.

From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. make sure to stop at The Grove Memorial Park for a chance to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Santa's Chocolate Express shuttle service begins at Drifter's Restaurant, on the west end of Main Street. Tickets are required for the event which includes free shuttle rides, complimentary treats at each participating business, specials and, discounts for holiday shoppers, and a holiday shopping bag with a small selection of chocolates and a holiday, wine glass.

There will be seven designated stops along the "chocolate express".

Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 the day of the event. Advance tickets may be purchased HERE
