Tidball House is designed to host groups that book the entire house for a week’s stay, beginning Sunday afternoon and ending Saturday morning. When the house is not occupied by groups, rooms are available to individuals and for periods of less than a week.

The whole house option includes three bedrooms and the common rooms plus breakfasts. The resident manager is a superbly imaginative cook, sure to deliver old favorites and introduce some new dishes, too. Menus include as much local produce and livestock as possible.

Tidball House offers three spacious bedrooms, one with en suite on the first floor, and the other two upstairs with a shared bathroom. All the upstairs rooms are equipped with mini splits for individual heating and cooling. The first floor offers conventional forced-air heating and cooling.

There are also common areas for guests to enjoy: the living room, the dining room, parts of the kitchen, and a very cozy reading/viewing room upstairs, which is the jewel of the house.

Tidball House has a long and interesting history. Built in 1890 by Dr. Jasper T. Tidball, a physician, and his wife, Ella, this is arguably Grafton’s prettiest home. This Queen Anne - roughly 3,300 square feet (full basement included) - has graced Grafton’s Main Street for decades as the manufacturing age transitioned to the space age and the computer age. Along the way, the house fell into disuse and neglect until the current owners committed to bringing it back while keeping the Victorian sensibility of high ceilings and spacious rooms.
