Join us at The Nature Institute on Feb. 7, from 9 .m. to 1 p.m. for a delightful day of eagle watching in a warm environment with stunning views. The Mississippi Sanctuary is typically closed on weekends, so seize this rare opportunity to enjoy the scenery, grab a snack, and sip a warm drink to energize your eagle watching experience. Throughout the morning, we will keep a tally of the eagles spotted from the sanctuary.

Nature Institute staff will be available to answer any questions and guide attendees to their next destination if they are unsure where to go. This open house will also serve as a fundraiser for the Environmental Education Association of Illinois (EEAI).

Anyone can contribute to EEAI by making a flat donation or pledging $1 for every eagle seen on Feb. 7. Every contribution, no matter how small, is appreciated.

The Environmental Education Association of Illinois (EEAI) consists of dedicated individuals committed to educating people of all ages about the importance of understanding and protecting our environment.

Since its inception, EEAI has been a leader within the environmental education community at local, state, and national levels, providing professional development services for both formal and informal educators. As hosts of various professional development events and curriculums like Growing Up WILD, Project Learning Tree, and the Midwest Environmental Education Consortium, EEAI has established a professional standard that educators have come to rely on.
