Spring/Summer Go Guide for 2024 Available Now

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Alton, IL – March 29, 2024) Start planning now for spring and summer fun in southwest Illinois with help from the newly released Great Rivers & Routes Go Guide.

The Spring/Summer 2024 guide highlights the only place in America where the Mother Road of Route 66 meets the Great River Road. It includes ideas for 48 hours of outdoor fun, family adventures, and road trips along Route 66 and the Great River Road. It also showcases local ferry fun, river paddling on the mighty Mississippi River, spa getaways and the ever-popular Collinsville International Horseradish Festival.

“We look at each GO Guide as a way to inspire travel to our Great Rivers & Routes region,” Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau President/CEO Cory Jobe said. “There’s nowhere in America where travelers can experience the American kitsch of Route 66 with a scenic not-to-be-missed adventure along three of the great American rivers. This new travel guide highlights all of that and so much more.”

GO Guides are produced twice a year by the Great Rivers & Routes Tourism Bureau for Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter travel. The guide is available locally at the Alton Visitor Center and at area attractions, restaurants and hotels and motels throughout Madison, Jersey, Macoupin, Montgomery, Greene and Calhoun counties. An online version is available to download at RiversandRoutes.com and printed guides can be requested online at RiversandRoutes.com.
