Concerts begin annually the first full week AFTER Memorial Day and continue for 9 consecutive weeks

Since 1891 the Alton Municipal Band has been giving public performances for the people of southwest Illinois. The band's "Music in the Park" series has also taken place since that time in both Riverview Park and Haskell Park in Alton. Concerts in the park are held outdoors, so bring your picnic blanket or lawn chair for an afternoon of tunes and fresh air. All concerts in the Music in the Park series are completely free to the public. The band is a full symphony orchestra made from area volunteers and includes performances from Midwest singers, choirs, and vocal groups.

Concerts start every year the first full week AFTER Memorial Day week and continue for nine consecutive weeks throughout the summer months. Thursday concerts start at 8 p.m. and are held at the gazebo in Riverview Park, Alton and Sunday concerts start at 7 and are held at Haskell Park , Alton, near the Haskell Playhouse. The Haskell Park concert will feature a kid's march through the park before the performance.

Keep an eye out for seasonal holiday concerts- the Alton Municipal Band has also performed at the Liberty Bank Amphitheater and the Alton Square Mall.
