Alton’s first ghost tour took place in 1992, when local psychic Antoinette and Marlene Lewis teamed up to provide thrills and chills for area ghost hunters. Alton Odyssey Tours continues to conduct haunted tours in Alton, Illinois featuring Trolley Ghost Tours, a Haunted Beer Walk partnered with Old Bakery Beer, and Haunted Walking Tours.

The Trolley Ghost Tours take guests to three haunted locations including the Milton Schoolhouse, and the infamous McPike Mansion and the vacant and incredibly haunted Stratford Hotel in downtown Alton. Previous tours have included dinner on the tour.

The Haunted Beer Walk stops at five purportedly haunted locations and begins at Old Bakery Beer. Previous stops include visiting the brick overs of the Kendall Cracker Factory, an Underground Railroad stop at the old Enos Sanitorium building, the old Alton Post Office, and Alton's Grand Theater. Each stop includes a 5 oz beer pairing from OBB. Guests must be 21+ with a photo ID to participate.
