Alton Stained Glass Works, located in the heart of Alton's downtown antique district, has served the area since 1993 with timeless glass artworks bringing color and light to homes and businesses with windowpanes, Tiffany-style and flat-panel lamps, ornaments, sun catchers, glass beads, and more. Order a custom piece for your space or peruse the Glass Work's glimmering gallery for pre-made pieces. Every work is unique and Alton Stained Glass offers a variety of classes with professional instruction to make your own glass panels, lamps, beads, and various creative projects like garden stakes, holiday pieces, cheese boards, and dishware- check the shop's website for class and crafting information. Alton Stained Glass also sells cut glass sheets and materials and their kiln can be rented by experienced glass-makers on open Saturdays.

Need a drink while you craft or shop? The Artisan Lounge located inside the Glass Works offers craft beer, wine, and teas. Enjoy a beverage indoors admiring the glass in the shop or in the European-inspired back garden year-round- the garden has fire-pits for colder Midwestern days and multiple murals and art installations and boasts views of the Mississippi River.

Tired after a day on the town or looking for unique lodging? Above the shop is the Tiffany Inn bed and breakfast! Stay in the cozy, impressionist art-inspired rooms and enjoy easy access to all of downtown Alton's shops, restaurants, the Alton Amphitheater, marina, and the Great River Road. Try the Glass Work's Weekend Art Glass Retreat for an artistic getaway. There are three art-inspired rooms: the Monet Suite, Renoir Suite, and Garden Room. The shop also has a conference room available for events, parties, and meetings. Come stay downtown, make some glass, and experience all southwest Illinois has to offer!
