Bremer Wildlife Sanctuary is home for scores of birds and animals in central Montgomery County including bluebirds, red headed woodpeckers, and purple martins. It is also an education center and a showplace for natural areas restoration. Groups can schedule a narrated wagon ride through the sanctuary and a presentation in the education center. Topics can include the owls of Illinois, native wildflowers, restoring the blue bird population, and more. The tour is best suited mid-April – mid-November but note that the education center is not air conditioned.
