Jacoby Arts Center has been a pillar of the Alton community for over twenty years. Alongside offering art classes for both children and adults, art events, and summer camps, Jacoby also exhibits local and regional artists’ work in their on-site gallery, and is part of the Alton Art Loop.

Starting as the Madison County Art Council, supporting artists and arts organizations across seventeen counties, Jacoby grew until opening a brick & mortar location off Broadway in Downtown Alton in 2006 at the historic C. J. Jacoby and Co, Inc. building (where Jacoby took its name). Jacoby Arts Center moved to their current location at 208 State Street in early 2025.
