Jones Park is the largest and most diverse in the East St. Louis Park District System. Special emphasis is placed upon maintaining its attractiveness and ability to serve large groups of visitors at one time. This park was designed and constructed almost a century ago and remains the centerpiece for the park district. The original theme for this park was an attractive setting in a highly developed industrial/urban space catering primarily to passive recreational pursuits.

Jones Park covers 120 acres and includes: a lagoon, community center, pavilion, two sets of playground equipment, a walking trail, open space and a historic boathouse.
