MCT Monarch Valley Trail

MCT Monarch Valley Trail

Monarch Valley Trail is a 0.7-mile asphalt connector trail between Emerson Avenue and Irma Street in Edwardsville. The path was once a terminal rail corridor and connects to the historic Leclaire Neighborhood. Monarch Valley Trail has been designated as a “pollinator pathway” with plantings like milkweed to attract migrating Monarch butterflies and other important pollinators such as hummingbirds and bees.
