MCT Nature Trail
Well travelled and a great spot for wildlife viewing and bird watching, the 15 mile paved MCT Nature Trail connects University Park, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville campus, Wilson Park, and Horseshoe Lake State Park. This woodland trail winds through beautiful deciduous Illinois trees and over creeks and waterways. Take a ride through the bright landscape during fall to peep the leaves and watch for white-tailed deer, cottontail rabbits, wild turkey, native and travelling birds year-round.
