MCT Quercus Grove Trail

MCT Quercus Grove Trail

Historic Route 66 communities are connected by the MCT Quercus Grove trail including Staunton, Hamel, Worden, and Edwardsville. Quercus Grove, an 18.9 mile paved and limestone trail, starts in Staunton in the north and ends in Edwardsville. Stop in at Weezy's in Hamel for a bite to eat or the Yellow Dog Cafe and Bar in Worden. Downtown Staunton is only a short ride or walk away from the trail with restaurants and local shopping. Need a coffee or bowl of soup to warm up after a long ride? Blackbird Bakery in Staunton has soul-warming pastries, pie, coffee, and soup for even the coldest ride and iced drinks for the summer months. Quercus Grove trail meanders through farm and woodland and is a great trail to watch the sunset, watch for wildlife, or have a trailside picnic. White-tailed deer frequent the path and native and migrating birds sing in the trees- take in the sights and sounds of the country while walking or riding throughout the year!
