Charles Mooneyham is a nationally recognized artist based in the Greater St. Louis Region. His studio will represent eight artists during ArtEast.

His studio, located at 305 State Street in historically haunted downtown Alton, IL, serves as both a creative hub and a curated gallery space. Throughout his artistic journey, Charles has received recognition for his charitable efforts in the arts, featured across radio, television, news outlets, magazines, and blogs.

As a painter and photographer, his surrealist-pop creations challenge perspectives, exploring themes of religion, politics, and environmentalism. Off and on for over 30 years, Charles has organized, curated, produced, and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions, fostering artistic dialogue and community engagement. He is most recently known for his production of the Alton Art Expo which served as an indi art fair designed to bring awareness to mental health, destigmatize access to care and generate overall awareness for Center.
