In 2025, Personal Touch Boutique was honored as the 2025 Illinois Retailer of the Year by the Illinois Retail Merchants Association. Owners Derrick and Bernita Maxwell are committed to serving their customers with their "can do" attitude shining through. Their store opened on State Street in 1994, and they have overcome many challenges to stay in business and stay available for each customer they serve.
