Step back in time and help preserve the skills of yesteryear at the Old Tyme Arts & Crafts Conference Oct. 3-4 in Carlinville!

This one-of-a-kind event focuses on learning, demonstrating and preserving the traditional crafts and skills that helped our pioneers survive, prosper and build their communities.

Watch skilled artisans demonstrate their crafts and, more importantly, learn how to do them yourself. From blacksmithing, weaving and baking to canning vegetables, harness making, trimming and shoeing horses, and other hands-on pioneer skills, there will be something new to discover around every corner.

Are you an artisan or skilled craftsperson who can demonstrate AND teach a traditional craft or skill? Booth space is FREE for qualified demonstrators, and demonstrators may sell what they make. No manufactured goods or resale items are permitted.

The John C. Anderson House will be open, and the Red Barn Kitchen will be serving up more reasons to stay awhile.

Come spend the weekend learning from the past, connecting with skilled artisans and helping preserve the traditional crafts and skills that shaped generations before us.
