The Mother Road has a century of songs and stories to tell. Hear some of them at Edwardsville’s historic Wildey Theatre during A Weekend of Songs and Stories: Celebrating 100 Years of Route 66 in Illinois, part of the Last 100 Miles Festival.
Wildey Theatre lineup:
- Oct. 9: The Buckinghams open the weekend with their classic rock and pop hits.
- Oct. 10: Illinois Poet Laureate Mark Turcotte joins local published poets Kirk Schlueter and Lauren Gerber for an afternoon of poetry and storytelling.
- Oct. 11: The Ides of March, featuring Illinois native Jim Peterik, close the series with a night of classic rock.
Celebrate Route 66’s centennial through the music and stories of Illinois. While you’re in Edwardsville, pick up your Last 100 Miles Festival trading card at the West End Service Station anytime during the festival weekend.
