Join the City of Edwardsville as history comes alive during the kickoff event for the America 250 Celebration! Enjoy an exciting day filled with hands-on activities for all ages, live performances, historical portrayals, and interactive exhibits celebrating the spirit of 1776.
Meet Abigail Adams and Benjamin Franklin, listen as the Alumni Players present a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and add your own “John Hancock” to a replica of this historic document.
Guests can also help decorate a community birthday cake for America before enjoying patriotic performances at the City Park Bandstand by the Great Rivers Choral Society and the Mound City Slickers.
