Interested in a fun run through history? Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site is hosting the City of the Sun 5K Trail Run on Sunday, Nov. 8, taking participants on a scenic course through the grounds of this ancient Native American World Heritage Site.

5K registration is $30 by Oct. 1 and $35 beginning Oct. 2. Families can register two participants for $50.

Packet pickup is available Nov. 6–7 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Interpretive Center Gift Shop or at 8 a.m. on race morning.

Best of all, every step supports Cahokia Mounds. All proceeds benefit education programs, special events, research and land acquisition efforts at the historic site.
