Visit the brand-new Byway Discovery Center and meet a live American bald eagle for FREE on Saturdays in January and February!
Get an up-close look at America's majestic national bird, which can soar with a wingspan of more than 6 feet and weigh up to 14 pounds. This unique meet-and-greet offers the chance to snap a photo with one of these incredible raptors, learn fascinating facts about bald eagles and their conservation, and experience the awe of seeing one of America's most iconic symbols up close.
The eagles will be presented by the World Bird Sanctuary, whose expert handlers will share their knowledge and answer your questions about these magnificent birds. Afterward, take time to explore the brand-new Byway Discovery Center and discover the stories, history, and natural beauty of the Meeting of the Great Rivers National Scenic Byway.
