The group of 33 travelers departed at the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers in 1804, travelling over 8,000 miles across the rugged North American landscape to the future state of Oregon. They encountered Native American tribes, forded rivers, and fought harsh weather, disease, and starvation. Upon their return in 1806, they brought back a trove of information about the American West, its lands, waterways, and people. Witness military re-enactors, historic artisans, live animals from the Treehouse Wildlife Center, and historic scientific displays at the site during this 2-day event educating and entertaining visitors of all ages!
