Sunsets are aglow this September on the Alton riverfront! Join the Alton Amphitheater for its new September Sunset Series, happening on select Friday nights, Sept. 4, 11 and 25, from 6–9 p.m.!
Guests can spread out on the lawn with a blanket or lawn chair, enjoy local food and drinks, and join a scavenger hunt with the Sierra Club. The scavenger hunt winner will receive a free T-shirt! Guests can also shop permanent jewelry from Coco + Oak, vintage finds and more from Honeybee Vintage and unique jewelry from Chambre Bijoux before settling in to watch the sun set over the Mississippi River.
This week's musical guest is Aragon! Bringing the next generation of rock to the Alton riverfront, this four-piece St. Louis-area band is made up of musicians ages 16–17. Known for putting a fresh spin on classic rock favorites from the 1970s through the mid-2000s, Aragon delivers powerful covers, thunderous rhythms and high-energy performances that connect with audiences of all ages.
Don't miss the featured food vendors: Rolling Dogs and Jewel Ice Cream!
Guests are welcome to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages, leashed dogs, yard games and anything else needed to settle in for an evening on the lawn.
Come catch a sunset, hear some great music and make a Friday night of it on the riverfront!
