September Sunset Series Featuring Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch
Sunsets are aglow this September on the Alton riverfront! Join the Alton Amphitheater for their new September Sunset Series, happening on select Friday nights, Sept. 4, 11 and 25, from 6–9 p.m.!
Guests can spread out on the lawn with a blanket or lawn chair, enjoy local food and drinks, shop permanent jewelry from Coco + Oak, and watch the sun set over the Mississippi River.
The series kicks off Friday, Sept. 4, with Matt “The Rattlesnake” Lesch, an award-winning St. Louis blues musician known for his soulful voice and powerful guitar playing. A 2025 Sean Costello Rising Star Award winner, Lesch has performed at festivals and stages across the country and alongside blues greats including Buddy Guy, Bobby Rush and Christone “Kingfish” Ingram.
Don't miss the featured food vendor: Rolling Dogs!
Guests are welcome to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages, leashed dogs, yard games and anything needed to settle in for an evening on the lawn.
Come catch a sunset, hear some great music and make a Friday night of it on the riverfront.
