Join Fairmount Park for one of the most exciting events of the season as it celebrates the annual St. Louis Derby on Saturday, Aug. 29.

The day features thrilling live horse racing, live music, giveaways, food and drink specials, and entertainment for friends, families and racing fans. First post is at 1:30 p.m., followed by live music from Skeet Rogers and the Inner City Blues Band 15 minutes after the final race.

Derby Day highlights include:

• Annual Hat Contest: Guests can show off their Derby style and compete for bragging rights.
  
• Giveaways: The first 1,000 guests will receive a Fairmount Park Trucker Hat, along with chances to win Day at the Races packages, Longshots gift cards, free bets and more throughout the day.
  
• Featured Food Special: Artisan Chicken Salad on Pita Toasts.
  
• Featured Cocktail: Rosie All Day, featuring bourbon, ginger ale, lemonade, bitters and grenadine.
