Ready for a weekend of muddy, hands-on fun? Join instructor Aimee Parks for a Weekend Wheel Workshop at Jacoby Art Center. This engaging class covers the fundamentals of throwing clay on an electric potter’s wheel, perfect for beginners or anyone looking to try something new.

Aimee will guide you through each step of the process while encouraging your creativity. You’ll learn how to center your clay, understand how and why to use water as you shape it, and work toward forming a vessel on the wheel. Most participants will complete at least one piece, which will be glazed and kiln-fired for pickup at a later date.

If you’ve been curious about working with clay but don’t have time for a multi-week course, this one-session weekend workshop is a great fit. Open to students ages 16 and up.
