Pull up a lawn chair, bring a cooler of beverages and celebrate the long, hot days of summer at the annual Grafton Music in the Park concert series. The Grove Memorial Park becomes a local outdoor music venue every Thursday from June through August as some of the best local musicians take the stage.
From classic rock and oldies but goodies, to traditional bluegrass and honky tonk country, Grafton's riverfront along the confluence of the Illinois and Mississippi rivers comes to life.
Enjoy the final weeks of the concert series with music from the following:
- July 16: Tragg Band: From old rock to Rat Pack, Motown to Hank Williams, the Tragg Band is a trio of local musicians whose goal is to get people out of their seats and dancing!
- July 23: George Portz & Friends of Bluegrass: A leading music acoustic group performing in the area, the group channels bluegrass, country, cajun/bayou with a little bit of gospel.
- July 30: Hookie: If you like Zeppelin-style blues blended with rock and punk, then Hookie is your band. The band keeps the vibe loose and intensely moving!
- Aug. 6: Jake Weber and the Lonesome Drifters: It's honky tonk country at its best when Jake Weber and the Lonesome Drifters take the stage. Waylon Jennings, Hank Williams Sr., Charlie Daniels and more are memorialized during each performance.
