Collinsville is home to one of the oldest Native American settlements in the United States- discover the remnants of an ancient civilization at Cahokia Mounds World Heritage Site and walk the steps up the largest man-made earth mound in the country- the base of Monk’s Mound is larger than the base of the Pyramid of Giza! Be sure to check out the Cahokia Mounds Interpretive Center at the site to see interactive exhibits, artifacts, and learn about the ways the Cahokian people built their sprawling civilization.
