Greene Fields has a HUGE selection of all types of pumpkins, with over 160 pumpkin strains available for purchase. The real working farm also offers kids’ activities, like jumbo checkers, a hay bale maze, slides, and the chance to visit the farm’s animals!

Odelehr’s Market

Odelehr’s Market is truly a one-of-a-kind pumpkin picking experience. Not only does the market grow over 100 varieties of pumpkins and squashes, but it also has a 20-acre pumpkin patch with unique pumpkins in orange, white, and blue! Odelehr’s Market is full of lovely fall produce, including apples, and everything from pie fillings to jellies and jams!

If you want to turn your family pumpkin picking into a full day of farm fun, Relleke Pumpkin Farm is a great option in Granite City. The farm has a huge patch of carving and cooking pumpkins, autumn crafts and décor, and offers petting zoo experiences. During the weekends, the farm transforms with its Fall Celebration on the Farm event that features live music, food trucks, and local vendors.

Hagen’s offers fresh-picked apples and pumpkins in fall and has a wide variety of locally-made goods available in their farm store. But the real treat is their homemade apple dumplings and ice cream, only available on Saturdays and Sundays.

Jacob’s Orchard has locally-grown pumpkins and apples at their farm store. Travel along Hoe Page Bridge to the East end and find Jacob’s Orchard’s hub of fresh produce with seasonal fruits ready for pickup. Don’t leave without grabbing their apple cider, a great pairing to a night of pumpkin carving and apple bobbing.

In 2012, Joe Ringhausen Orchard’s cider was the first to win all three National Cider, Illinois Cider, and Hard Cider categories at the Annual Illinois Cider and National Cider Contest. So picking up a jug of their cider is a must, and as you sip on their house-made cider, find apples and pumpkins freshly picked at Joe Ringhausen’s market.

Pick up a pumpkin to decorate annually at Krueger’s! Their outdoor market is always packed full of their freshest produce, including peaches, melons, tomatoes, and sweet corn in the fall season, and frequently features homemade baked goods. Return to Krueger’s Orchard for their U-cut Christmas trees!

There are three large corn mazes in southwest Illinois this season! Whether you’re in it to win it, want to explore with your friends, or just want to spend some time outdoors in the gorgeous fall weather, a corn maze can help you get lost in the moment- and there’s nothing quite as Midwestern as wandering through the corn!

Great Godfrey Maze

The Great Godfrey Maze returns to corn this year after a years-long stint as a hemp maze. The theme for 2026 is Pixar's Inside Out, with the characters of Sadness, Disgust, Joy, and Anger making up the paths that you'll weave your way through to find your way to the end! The Godfrey maze will also feature a haunted maze after dark on Fridays and Saturdays through Oct 24!

Demange Farm

Demange Farm’s Corn Maze in St. Jacob is over 150 years old, and the maze's winding design reflects their storied experience! Wander through the largest corn maze in the region on over 20 acres through designs of farm animals, pumpkins, and barns. Stick around for Demange's Haunted Maze night!

Boonies Farm

Boonies Farm in Worden also sports a large corn maze. With interactive, educational clues throughout the maze to find and a pumpkin patch just outside, Boonies is a great place to visit in the fall for all ages, with activities, food, and events throughout the season.

Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau is the state-certified regional Destination Marketing and Management Organization (DMO)-501C6, which represents Madison, Macoupin, Montgomery, Jersey, Calhoun, and Greene counties, and the City of East St. Louis in St. Clair County in southwest Illinois. Founded in 1985 as the Alton Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau, the bureau transitioned to Great Rivers and Routes Tourism Bureau in 2018 as the size and scope of the organization grew.
